About Rochelle

Hi, I’m Rochelle. I paint as a way to slow down and sit with moments that feel meaningful. I am often inspired by light, water, and places that carry a sense of calm or wonder.

My work is intuitive and impressionistic, guided more by feeling than structure. I love letting a piece unfold naturally, following color and texture as they lead. Each painting is a quiet reflection and I hope they offer the same sense of pause and warmth to those who live with them.

The Work

My work is impressionistic and emotive, often inspired by light, water and natural landscapes. I’m drawn to warmth, texture and movement, creating pieces that feel calm, reflective and lived-in. Each painting is intended to be experiences slowly as something that settles into the space and reveals more over time.

The Practice

I work primarily with acrylics and mixed media, building layered compositions that explore light, texture, and shifting moods. My practice is intuitive and process-led. I begin without rigid plans, allowing each piece to evolve natually through layers of color and texture. I work slowly and intentionally, choosing materials and compositions that support the mood of each painting.

Because of this approach, I’m selective about the work I take on, ensuring each piece aligns with my values and creative direction.
